The following are the agreed Covid guidelines for the 14U games played by the Idaho Middle School Lacrosse Association.
Spectators
No stated limitations on the number of spectators
Each club to encourage limited spectators (siblings)
Spectators must wear masks if 6-feet of physical distance cannot be maintained between households/cohorts
Encourage physical distancing between households/cohorts
Spectators to be seated across the field from their team and not cross midfield
Coaches/Support Personnel/Officials
All coaches, support personal, and officials are required to wear masks at all times
Ensure table staff can maintain a safe distance from each other
Coaches should ensure no contact is occurring between athletes, coaches, or officials off-field – whether during pre-game, mid-game, or post-game (no huddles handshakes, high-fives, fist bumps, etc)
Players
Players to wear a mask when entering & exiting fields and whenever they are not wearing a helmet
This includes when on the sidelines during a game and not wearing a helmet
They may wear a face mask that covers nose and mouth during games
Face shield use will not be prohibited, but if a face shield is used it must be clear (no tint)
USL stressing the importance of using face shields that are designed specifically for the helmet, not mixing Cascade shields with Warrior helmets
Field
Extend team area to end lines to provide more opportunities for players to distance while in-game
